Jakarta – Welcoming the 77th Anniversary of Bhayangkara on July 1, Polda Metro Jaya is holding a social service for house renovations and renovating a number of houses of worship within the jurisdiction of Polda Metro Jaya.
The house renovation and house of worship renovation activities also involved the Jaya Regional Military Command and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government.
“Polda Metro Jaya in collaboration with the TNI and the Regional Government will carry out repairs to 26 residents’ houses, as well as repairs to places of worship in several prayer rooms and one temple,” said Kapolda Metro Jaya, Inspector General Pol Karyoto in a written statement received in Jakarta, Monday, (19 /6).
He also explained that currently his party has carried out house renovations in three places, namely, in North Jakarta, West Jakarta and Central Jakarta, as well as constructing clean water drilled wells in the Bekasi area.
“In addition, Polda Metro Jaya has also carried out health services such as blood donors, COVID-19 vaccinations, free mass circumcisions, and free medical treatment,” Kapolda Karyoto said.
Furthermore, continued Kapolda Karyoto, this June Polda Metro Jaya will also carry out free surgeries such as cataracts and cleft lip, visits to sick members’ homes, and distribution of 11,000 food packages This social service activity is carried out simultaneously throughout Indonesia and led directly by Kapolri General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo virtually.
Also explained by Kapolda Karyoto, ahead of Bhayangkara’s 77th anniversary, the National Police are indeed carrying out various activities including social services, cleaning and renovating places of worship, as well as building clean water facilities in 34 Polda.
These activities include cleaning, repairing and maintaining 2,170 houses of worship which include 1,195 mosques, 706 churches, 118 temples, 78 pagodas and 77 monasteries. The National Police also distributed 322,085 food packages, of which 30,000 were distributed to the National Police Headquarters and 292,085 packages to the Polda.
Social assistance is distributed to beneficiary communities, such as the poor, orphans, nursing homes, people with disabilities, fishermen, laborers, scavengers, motorcycle taxi drivers, and retirees. Bembo
