Jakarta – The investigation into the case of drug abuse, DK (38) to death by unscrupulous members of the Ditresnarkoba Polda Metro Jaya is based on the Model A report.
Model A reports are reports made directly by investigators in the context of carrying out the investigative process.
“The General Criminal Investigation Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya, after Bidpropam’s deepening, was proactive in immediately making a Model A police report,” said Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, Saturday, (29/7).
Departing from this model A report, continued Kombes Pol Trunoyudo, investigators from the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya conducted an investigation into the death of DK by a police officer. And finally Polda Metro named eight suspects, one of whom was DPO status.
For information, based on Article 5 of Perkap Number 14 of 2012 concerning Criminal Investigation Management, Model A reports are reports made by members of the Indonesian National Police who have experienced, know, or found directly what happened.
Separately, DK’s family lawyer, Ramzy Brata Sungkar, said that the family received a report from the police regarding the victim who died and was currently in the hospital. At that time, the family felt that something was wrong because the victim was arrested in connection with a drug case but was reported dead.
“Drugs, so far he is suspected of (arresting) drugs. There are only irregularities. ‘My husband was arrested but how come he died’,” said Ramzy to reporters at Polda Metro Jaya, Friday, (28/7) evening.
From there, continued Ramzy, his party investigated the existing cases. However, during his in-depth investigation, he received information that a police officer who was suspected of being involved in the case had been arrested. After that, his party immediately coordinated with Polda Metro Jaya.
Ramzy said that originally the family had planned to make a Model B report. However, after coordinating, it was discovered that the police had already made a Model A report.
“With the existence of a type A report, which is internal itself, we haven’t done it yet, but we are still in a state of condolences,” said Ramzy.
“Actually it’s quite encouraging. It’s encouraging in the sense that the procedures that have been carried out by Polda Metro have been very, very helpful, very, very lightening our duties as legal advisers to the victims’ families,” he continued, relieved. Bembo
