Bogor – Confucian clergyman Wen Shi (WS) Urip Saputra (US), who is claimed to be alive again after his death, disappeared after being discharged from the Bogor Regional General Hospital (RSUD) last Wednesday (16/11).
Urip’s whereabouts were then sought by the police. Until finally on Friday (18/11) night, he turned himself in to the Bogor Resort Police (Polres).
“The person concerned turned himself in last night. Meanwhile, that is all we can convey. We are still waiting for the results of the investigation,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bogor Police AKP Yohanes Redhoi Sigiro, Saturday (11/19).
According to the police, the investigation of Urip is still being carried out until now. The police have yet to determine Urip’s status in this incident.
“Brother US is currently being intensively questioned. For the results, we ask for time to convey them to our colleagues,” said Yohanes.
Urip Saputra had made a scene after a viral video on social media. In the video, it is narrated that Urip came back to life after being declared dead by a hospital in Semarang. Urip to Semarang was mentioned to attend an event.
It was also narrated that Urip’s body was flown to Jakarta and put in a coffin at a hospital in Jakarta whose name was not disclosed.
However, when he arrived at the funeral home in Bogor, the coffin was opened and Urip’s body moved and came back to life. This is claimed as a ‘miracle’.
It was later discovered—based on police investigations— that Urip and his wife had never traveled to Semarang. Instead, they went to South Jakarta and were picked up by an ambulance. At that time they brought a coffin.
On the way to Bogor, the ambulance driver stopped at the rest area. After that the driver never saw Urip again. When he got home, Urip was already in a crate.
Debt of Rp1.5 Billion
From the investigation at the Bogor Police, it was finally revealed that Urip and his wifel had engineered the death. Billions of debts are the reason.
“He owed Rp. 1.5 billion at work, because he had a certain position in the organization (clergy) so the idea emerged to engineer death,” said Bogor Police Chief AKBP Iman Imanuddin in his statement.
Iman said the idea to engineer the death was carried out in a hotel in Jakarta. Both of them were determined to do this because they were cornered and confused about paying a debt that was too large.
Even so, until now no party has claimed to have been harmed by this news. Currently the police are still investigating who spread the video on social media until it became viral.
“In the viral Urip suspended animation incident, so far no one has been harmed and we will also investigate the spread of the first video and ask for what purpose they uploaded the video,” he said.
To determine Urip and his wife as suspects, according to Iman, must collect information to find out the legal framework.
“So we are still conducting investigations and in-depth investigations. It’s not that easy to immediately determine someone as a suspect,” he explained. bembo
