Jakarta – Central Jakarta Metro Police have named two new suspects in an illegal abortion case at a house located on Jl Merah Delima, Sumur Batu, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta. If during the raid there were seven suspects arrested, now the number of suspects is nine.
The Kapolres Metro Jakarta Pusat, Kombes Pol Komaruddin told the media crew that the new suspects named were MK and SW. MK is the lover of one of the patients, while SW is a housekeeper.
“(MK) is the lover of one of the patients. And the other one (SW), a housekeeper at his (another suspect)’s house,” said Kombes Pol Komaruddin, Friday, (30/6).
According to him, the suspects had no medical background. Therefore, to be held accountable for their actions they are charged with Article 76C juncto Article 80 paragraph 3, Article 77A, and Article 346 of the Criminal Code.
“We are still investigating, yes the case,” he said again.
As previously reported, the Central Jakarta Metro Police raided a house suspected of being a place for illegal abortions to be practiced on Jl Merah Delima, Sumur Batu, Kemayoran, Central Jakarta.
There were seven suspects arrested at that time. Two of them are abortion babies namely SN and NA. The suspect SN is known to have no background in the medical field. She only works as a housewife (IRT).
While the role of NA helps SN in action. NA helped socialize the abortion practice, including being an assistant and picking up patients.
“SN is assisted by NA. This NA is the one who socializes, looks for, including as an assistant in this house. This includes picking up patients,” Kombes Pol Komaruddin said.
The next suspect is SM, who acts as a shuttle driver. While the other four suspects are J, AS, RV and IT.
