Jakarta – Polda Metro Jaya uncovered a case of theft by pretending to be a household assistant (ART).
The perpetrator with the initials M alias SM (31) was also arrested and has been named a suspect. This disclosure began with the victim’s report, LH (43).
“So we arrested the perpetrator with the initials M alias SM at Merak Harbor when he was going to Lampung. When he was arrested, the victim’s belongings were still with the perpetrator,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko in Jakarta, Thursday, ( 15/6).
He said the perpetrator carried out his mode by pretending to apply for a job as a housemaid at the victim’s place, LH. When the victim was not in the apartment, the perpetrator then pretended to clean the room.
“The perpetrator took the victim’s luxury goods. After that the perpetrator fled with the victim’s belongings to sell. His motive was because he needed money,” explained Trunoyudo.
