Jakarta – Polda Metro Jaya destroyed evidence of narcotics and dangerous drugs/substances (narcotics) from the arrest of 30 suspects and 23 cases during the April – June 2023 period.
The evidence destroyed on Tuesday, (27/6) afternoon consisted of
methamphetamine 34.51 kg, marijuana 64.55 kg, synthetic tobacco 12.95 kg and synthetic seeds 1.02 kg.
Then from the pill form drugs that were destroyed consisted of 23,594 ecstasy pills, 1,237,000 PCC (Paracetamol, Caffeine, Carisoprodol) pills and 8,896,250 dangerous drugs.
Kapolda Metro Jaya, Inspector General Pol Karyoto after the destruction said, evidence of narcotics and dangerous drugs/substances (drugs) must be destroyed immediately after a court order has been issued. This is done to close the loopholes for individuals who have bad intentions to take advantage.
“Destruction doesn’t take long. After a court decision is made, it must be destroyed immediately. Don’t create loopholes or opportunities for individuals who have bad intentions,” said Kapolda Karyoto during a press conference.
Furthermore, he also emphasized his staff to examine the evidence carefully before destroying it.
“Check it properly according to the minutes, especially goods that have high economic value, for example crystal methamphetamine and ecstasy. In terms of gram size, it is enough to really match, how much was destroyed, it must be monitored,” he stressed again.
At the end of the statement, the Kapolda Karyoto did not forget to thank the people who had provided a lot of information regarding drug trafficking in their environment.
He also appealed to the public to have resilience and strong resistance to drug trafficking.
Meanwhile, Director of General Criminal Investigation (Direskrimum) Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Hengki Haryadi said, drug evidence that was destroyed was confiscated from 30 suspects who were divided into 23 cases.
“For the suspects arrested, the details of Polda Metro Jaya are 11 suspects from seven cases, West Jakarta Polrestro four suspects from four cases,” Hengki explained.
Then, he continued, from the Tangerang City Police there were nine people from seven cases, the Bekasi City Police had three people from three cases, the Depok Police one person from one case, and the South Tangerang Police two people from one case. Bembo
