Kuningan – Indonesian Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto inaugurated five clean water source points in Pamupukan Village, Ciniru District, Kuningan Regency, Wednesday, (20/12).
Menhan Prabowo’s arrival was welcomed by the Chancellor of the Indonesian Defense University, the Head of the “Water for the Country” Team as well as the Dean of the Military Logistics Faculty of the Indonesian Defense University, Military Commander III/Siliwangi, the Acting Regent of Kuningan, the ranks of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum, and the community of Pamupukan Village.
On this occasion, Menhan Prabowo also had a virtual dialogue with the people who enjoy clean water sources in five villages, Kuningan Regency. The dialogue was facilitated by the Chancellor of the Indonesian Defense University, Lt. Gen. TNI Jonni Mahroza.
Furthermore, Menhan Prabowo also delivered a speech which was accompanied by pressing the siren button and inspecting the pipe flow at the Pamupukan Village location.
At the beginning of his remarks, Menhan Prabowo expressed his gratitude to the Defense University team and all elements who had worked hard to find a source of clean water for the people.
“We continue to try to help people wherever they are. “Apart from that, we must also be able to overcome the people’s difficulties,” stressed the Menhan Prabowo.
Defense University, said Menhan Prabowo, has the task of producing the nation’s best sons and daughters in the fields of technology, science, engineering, mathematics, medicine and pharmacy, so that they are able to overcome the people’s difficulties. For this reason, he gave the task to the Defense University and the Ministry of Defense to collaborate in realizing this water point.
“So I ordered the Defense University to form a water task force, a seed task force for forest reforestation, cultivating fruit trees and production trees, a low-cost housing task force, and dealing with the impact of environmental damage. The intelligence of all elements of the Defense University must be utilized and felt immediately by the people,” said Menhan Prabowo.
Acting Regent of Kuningan Raden Lip Hidajat also delivered his remarks. “Wilujeng sumped up to the Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto in Kuningan Regency. Thank you to the Defense University and the experts who have discovered water sources which will certainly benefit our entire community, in this case several villages in Ciniru District, Hantara District, Ciwaru District, and Garawangi District. “Hopefully this assistance can be used as well as possible, especially when the dry season arrives, we really need water,” explained the Acting Regent of Kuningan.
Sources of clean water using drilled wells and pipeline methods are spread across the five villages, namely Cipedes Village, Kec. Ciniru (210 families), Cirukem Village, District. Garawangi (250 families), Sumberjaya Village, District. Ciwaru (400 families), Pamupukan Village, District. Ciniru (540 families), and Pakapasan Girang Village, District. Hantara (504 families). These five water source points can be enjoyed by 1,904 heads of families (KK). Bembo
