Korlantas Polri to Create an Application to Prevent Brokers from Issuing Driving Certificates

Director of Registration and Identification (Dirregident) Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Pol Yusri Yunus.

Jakarta – Korlantas Polri is preparing a draft to make an application to prevent brokers from issuing certificates from accredited training institutions or driving schools. This step was taken following the policy plan to require a driving certificate for making a driving license (SIM).

“Now it is technology 4.0. We have made an application, we have not designed it yet (made). We will make an application to avoid things like that (brokers),” explained the Director of Registration and Identification (Dirregident) Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Pol Yusri Yunus, Thursday, (22/6).

It is hoped that the application will later be like the Electronic Registration and Identification System (ERI), which is a system in the form of a motorized vehicle data bank. The application, he continued, is an effort to supervise the issuance of a driving certificate.

“First we have to review everything slowly to avoid brokering things. Later it’s up to who has the right to issue certification. He is an accredited company. Not everything is meaningful,” said the general who graduated from the 1991 Bhara Daksa Akpol Battalion, which is under the Sagittarius zodiac sign.

“Even though he is accredited, he can’t suddenly release everything. There has to be an association to make it easier for us to control it,” he added.

Korlantas Polri at this time, he continued, is still focused on preparing derivative regulations and implementation related to the regulations that will be enforced. The derivative regulations will be enforced as soon as possible.

“Soon (to be implemented). Let’s not rush it but the results are the same,” said Brigadier General Pol Yusri Yunus. Bembo
