Jakarta – The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) has provided a number of notes to Polda Metro Jaya and its ranks so that they can maximize the implementation of their duties in 2024.
As stated by the Commissioner of Kompolnas, Poengky Indarti, his party hopes that the Polda led by Irjen Pol Karyoto can intensify efforts to prevent crime.
“We hope that in 2024, Polda Metro Jaya will increase preventive work to prevent crime. Like carrying out routine security patrols in crime-prone areas,” said Poengky in a written statement received by topikonline.co.id, Sunday, (31/12).
According to him, by maximizing these efforts the community will have more confidence in the performance of Polda Metro Jaya and its staff.
“So that people feel the real presence of the police protecting the community. By increasing routine patrols, we can be sure that the area will be safe,” he said.
Apart from that, he continued, what is no less important is efforts to utilize technology in carrying out daily police duties and functions.
Examples include increasing the use of bodycams for personnel on duty. Then also add CCTV connection networks in a number of public areas to connect with the nearest police station.
“We also hope that Polda Metro Jaya and its ranks will further improve the modernization of the police by optimizing the use of body cameras and dashboard cameras for members on duty in the field to increase the professionalism of members,” said Poenky.
