Jakarta – Kapolda Metro Jaya, Inspector General Pol Karyoto is ensuring that the legal process against Mario Dandy Satriyo (20), runs firmly and professionally according to the rules. Investigators gave him absolutely no special treatment during the legal process.
“Judging from the case, I believe professional investigators will not provide special services to Mario Dandy. Even from the article that was applied, it was an aggravating article, namely Article 355, in which he planned serious persecution,” said Kapolda Karyoto to journalists, Friday, (28 /5) then.
Apart from the persecution article, continued the Kapolda Karyoto, the police are currently also super serious in handling reports from AG’s children regarding alleged obscenity committed by Mario Dandy.
“But that is a different criminal act, not an ongoing activity. One is titled Article 351 or 355 of the Criminal Code for persecution, the other can be Article 81 of the Child Protection Law Number 35 of 2014,” said Kapolda Karyoto.
“But both of them have quite a serious threat, namely 15 years. The one here for abuse carries a 15 year threat, the one here for alleged sexual abuse is also 15 years,” he continued.
This fact, said Kapolda Karyoto, is at the same time authentic proof that the Polda Metro has never provided special services to Mario Dandy.
“Our job is to complete the paperwork case in a fair and transparent manner. That’s all,” he said.
The Kapolda Karyoto admitted that he had indeed highlighted the handling of the Mario Dandy case which had been going on for a long time. Therefore, he directly assisted the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation regarding the filing of cases and coordinated with the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor’s Office.
“I was really involved in the Mario Dandy case. The first was when yesterday was questioned how it took so long, I also felt this was something that had to be resolved immediately,” said the two star general of the 1990 Dhira Brata Akpol Battalion.
“Finally, I decided to come to the Attorney General’s Office myself to coordinate and assist the General Crimes Directorate to complete the case files,” he continued.
Currently, the case files for the investigation into the abuse of Cristalino David Ozora with the suspects Mario Dandy Satriyo and Shane Lukas are complete and declared P21.
