Jakarta – Kapolda Metro Jaya, Inspector General Pol Karyoto has publicly apologized for the uproar caused by the viral video Mario Dandy Satriyo, the suspect in the serious abuse of Cristalino David Ozora, who used his own cable ties to remove handcuffs.
“What is clear, if this is indeed a kind of correction for Polda Metro I accept, and we are grateful to netizens. And I say, whatever the input is because what is seen in the video is like that, I, as the person in charge of Polda Metro Jaya, apologize,” said Kapolda Karyoto at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Sunday, (28/5).
Regarding this matter, he has also ordered the Polda Metro Jaya Propam Division to conduct an examination of alleged deviations from SOPs and rules carried out by members.
“I ordered the Head of Propam Division to check whether there were things that were done by our members according to Standard Operating Procedures. There were those that were violated and in an appropriate manner. Were there any disciplinary rules that were violated,” he explained.
He also emphasized that, no matter how small the input and criticism that the public sends to the police, especially the Polda Metro Jaya will definitely be followed up immediately.
