Sintang – Kapolda West Kalimantan, Inspector General Pol Pipit Rismanto won a pretrial lawsuit for alleged corruption at the Ketungau II Bridge worth IDR27 billion, last Monday, (22/5).

For this victory, now the Kabar Kabar Police investigation team only has to hand over the examination documents of the six suspects in this alleged case to investigators from the West Kalimantan High Prosecutor’s Office.

In addition to handing over the six suspects’ files, the West Kalimantan Police investigation team is also waiting for written permission from the Minister of Home Affairs to examine the Sintang Regent, Jarot Winarno. The Regent of Jarot is strongly suspected of being involved as the beneficiary of this project fee.

The Ketungau II Bridge began construction in 2017 – 2018 with a cumulative value of IDR 27 billion and is expected to be completed in 2019. But until 2023, it has been proven that it cannot be used.

Construction of the bridge was stopped due to legal proceedings at the Directorate of Investigation and Crime of the West Kalimantan Regional Police since October 2021.

The Ketungau II Bridge construction project sparked controversy after the appearance of a note detailing the recipients of the fee, one of which mentioned the name of the Regent of Sintang, Jarot Winarno.

Notes on the issuance of fees to 11 parties were issued on October 23 2017 in the amount of IDR700 million, of which Regent Jarot Winarno received a fee of IDR103 million.

Kabid Humas Polda Kalbar, Kombes Pol Raden Petit Wijaya said, the examination of the Regent of Sintang, Jarot Winarno will be carried out immediately after receiving written permission from the Minister of Home Affairs.

He also said the victory, the pretrial lawsuit filed by the West Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Pol Pipit Rismanto, was valid proof of the implementation of the investigation process for the alleged corruption case in the construction of the Ketungau II Bridge which complied with the provisions.

Kapolda Pipit Rismanto, he continued, was also considered to have carried out the correct mechanism in naming the six corruption suspects.

“The handling of corruption in the construction of the Ketungau II Bridge for the 2017, 2018 and 2019 fiscal years has been carried out very thoroughly,” said Raden Petit Wijaya.

“And the six current suspects, namely two ASNs, Aef Sutardi and Anton Kurniawan, then Zulherman, a member of the Sintang Regency DPRD, then Toni Handri Yani and Rianto from PT Nokannanyan, and Toni Handri Yani from PT Kreasindo Putra Bangsa, are just getting ready to continue the legal process at the Attorney’s Office. West Kalimantan,” he finished. Bembo
