Jakarta – Bareskrim Polri has scheduled a summons for the leader of the Al-Zaytun Islamic Boarding School, Panji Gumilang, next week. Panji will be clarified regarding the alleged blasphemy on Monday, (3/7).
Kabareskrim Polri Komjen Pol Agus Andrianto said that Panji was investigated because he was reported by residents on suspicion of religious blasphemy.
“Al-Zaytun will likely be summoned for clarification on Monday,” Police Commissioner General Agus told reporters at the National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Friday (30/6).
After examining Panji Gumilang, continued Komjen Pol Agus, investigators from the Directorate of General Crimes (Dittipidum) Bareskrim Polri will hold a case on Tuesday, (4/7). This, he continues, is to determine whether there is a criminal element in the case.
“Hopefully from the results of the case title it can be determined whether the case can go up to investigation or not. Hopefully it will be decided on Tuesday,” Police Commissioner General Agus said.
For information, there have been two police reports (LP) against Panji Gumilang. The first report was filed by the Pancasila Defender Advocate Forum (FAPP). The DPP FAPP report is registered with the number: LP/B/163/VI/2023/SPKT/BARESKRIM POLRI.
Then the second report was made by NII Crisis Center Founder Ken Setiawan. Report registered with number LP/B/169/VI/2023/SPKT/BAREKRIM POLRI dated 27 June 2023.
In the two reports, Panji was accused of violating Article 156 A of the Criminal Code concerning Blasphemy of Religion. Bembo
