Jakarta – The Directorate of Cyber Crime (Dittipidsiber) Bareskrim Polri will summon artist Wulan Guritno. The summons was related to allegations that he carried out promotional actions on online gambling sites. This summons is related to the circulation of Wulan Guritno’s video promoting an online gambling site called Sakti123.
Dirtipidsiber Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Pol Adi Vivid Agustiadi Bachtiar said that his party had carried out a search and found that the video was made in 2020. The gambling site page promoted by Wulan Guritno is still active today.
“This means, we will carry out clarification. We will summon the person concerned as previously stated. We will see whether the elements are fulfilled or not,” said Brigadier General Adi Vivid to journalists at National Police Headquarters, South Jakarta, Wednesday, (30/8) yesterday.
Apart from Wulan Guritno, Dittipidsiber Bareskrim Polri has also named a number of celebrities, artists and public figures who are suspected of having promoted online gambling. They will all be summoned in stages to ask for clarification.
“Yesterday there were several names that went viral. Of course we will follow up. We will follow up, and if the criminal elements are met, we will definitely process them,” he stressed.
Furthermore, Brigadier General Pol Adi Vivid also appealed to artists and influencers not to try to do various things to promote online gambling. This is because this can be snared under the ITE Law.
“Stop promoting online gambling. Because there are so many victims, many people have fallen into poverty,” he shouted.
“Regarding the issue of influencers, they can also be subject to the ITE Law, Article 45 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 27 paragraph 2 with the threat of 6 years in prison and a fine of around IDR 1 billion,” he emphasized in continuing his statement. Bembo
