Weekly Criminal Evaluation, Polrestro Jakut Creates Regional Vulnerability Map

Kapolres Metro Jakarta Utara, Kombes Pol Gidion Arif Setyawan.

Jakarta – The Polres Metro Jakarta Utara has made a vulnerability map for the area based on the results of an evaluation of criminal incidents in the North Jakarta area over the past week. On the map, the Ancol to Sunter Agung areas are marked in red.

“The color on the map is the vulnerability level of our area which is evaluated weekly by the Operations Section. The aim is to inventory and identify areas that often experience potentially criminal situations,” explained Kapolres Metro Jakarta Utara, Kombes Pol Gidion Arif Setyawan to the media crew, some time ago.

He said the parameters used on the map were based on the crime index, including criminal acts of theft by violence, theft by weighting, motor vehicle theft, brawls, street crimes, and drugs.

And the Sunter Agung area, he continued, in the last one week was the location of two criminal cases. The first is the case of a sharp weapons production house that was allegedly linked to the brawl. And the second is the case of theft with a weighting background of romance (as stipulated in Article 365 of the Criminal Code regarding theft with violence).

While the red color in the Ancol sub-district is because the area has become the scene of the incident (TKP) of brawls in the past week.

“By mapping areas that are prone to crime, it is hoped that officers from the local sector police will carry out more frequent patrols to maintain security in these areas,” said the officer with the Zodiac Gemini who graduated from the 1996 Wira Satya Akpol Battalion.

“We also appeal to the local community and urban village to increase vigilance in order to prevent criminal acts that have the potential to occur in the area,” he added. Bembo
