Tangerang – The Kapolres Metro Tangerang Kota, Kombes Pol Zain Dwi Nugroho together with the Narcotics Unit visited the Drug-Free Village in West Sudimara Village, Ciledug District, Tangerang City, Tuesday, (15/8) yesterday.
The arrival of the Kapolrestro Tangerang Kota along with the Satnarkoba ranks is one of the symbols of efforts to combat drug trafficking in the jurisdiction of the Tangerang City Metro Police.
“In the Drug-Free Village, we have established a complaint and service post. We also provide guidance to local residents and involve them in supporting the Drug-Free Village program,” said Kombes Pol Zain.
According to him, the danger points for drug trafficking are actually in the smallest environment. And the Tangerang City Metro Police through the Satresnarkoba is obliged to continue to carry out various outreach activities at the village and sub-district levels.
“The establishment of a drug-free village is a step by the National Police to prevent the dangers of drug trafficking by prioritizing community participation through outreach,” explained this officer with the Taurus zodiac sign from the 1997 Wira Pratama Battalion of the Police Academy.
He also said that the National Police together with related stakeholders, namely the TNI, the Regional Government and the Tangerang City BNN are also continuing to make massive efforts to create and carry out various programs to prevent the dangers of drug trafficking. Steps to socialize the program starting from the community itself, the environment, then immigrants who are suspected of carrying drug influence.
“There is a role for bhabinkamtibmas, Babinsa and local sub-districts who are involved in this drug-free village. They continue to provide comprehensive counseling to their citizens,” he explained.
“So, the public should no longer hesitate to report to the post if there are things that are suspicious and require in-depth handling by the Tangerang City Metro Police Narcotics Unit,” he added.
Kapolres Zain said, Tangerang City is an agglomeration area and borders between regions, namely DKI Jakarta. That way, there are many entrances starting from Soekarno-Hatta airport, Inter-Regional Terminals to ports.
Conditions like this automatically increase the level of vulnerability to drug trafficking in Tangerang City.
“Therefore, we (the police) invite all elements of society to contribute to preventing and dealing with the dangers of drugs. Together, we will save the nation’s next generation from the influence of drugs,” he said. Bembo
