Jakarta – Kapolri Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo delivered a joyful welcome for Christmas 2023 to the congregation of the Millennium Center Reformed Church in Kemayoran, Jakarta Pusat. Kapolri Listyo Sigit also said that security for worship was not only carried out by the TNI/Polri, but also members of other religions helped.
Kapolri Listyo Sigit also expressed his gratitude because this year’s Christmas celebrations could be held entirely face to face.
“Praise God that we can carry out the Christmas service well this time. It can be carried out face to face,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit, Sunday, (24/12).
According to him, even though currently there are new reports of the Corona virus (Covid-19) being detected, this is not an obstacle for Christians to carry out worship. And this is a gift for all Christians in Indonesia.
“Even though we are aware of several reports in the media related to the Covid problem, thank God this is not an obstacle or obstacle for all of us to be able to carry out and celebrate Christmas services. And this also applies throughout Indonesia. Then and of course this is God’s gift for all of us,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit. Bembo
