Jakarta – The committee organizing the theater performance performed by Butet Kartaredjasa clarified the issue of intervention by the police. The intervention was previously said to have occurred on stage 1-2 December 2023.
Kayan Production Secretariat, Indah, emphasized that there was no intervention by the police as rumors circulated.
According to Indah, she was the one who handled the permits directly with the police. A permission letter was issued to the police before the performance event.
“I just want to say that I am the one who takes care of the licensing documents to the police. “Then there was no intimidation in signing the letter,” said Indah in Jakarta, Tuesday (5/12).

In fact, events involving presidential and vice presidential candidates in TIM still receive security.
“Community activities in the Central Jakarta area, whether in the form of arts and culture and so on, of course we have to guarantee that these activities take place safely,” said Kapolres Susatyo.
On the other hand, the Kapolres Susatyo also ensured that there was never any interference from the police with the actors or event material. Personnel deployed for security only coordinate with event organizers regarding permits, with security guards regarding security, and traffic control if necessary.
Deputy Director of Security and Security at Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Miko Indrayana, who also accompanied the Kapolres Susatyo, also added that licensing for events involving many people must go through the police. This is stated in Government Regulation Number 60 of 2017.
“Therefore, on November 8 2023 PT Kayan submitted a request for permission to propose activities in the form of a public spectacle which will be held at Taman Ismail Marzuki on December 1 and 2,” explained AKBP Miko.
