Singapore – Indonesian Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto was awarded the Darjah Utama Bakti Cemerlang (Tentera) which was installed directly by Singapore President Tharman Sanmugaratnam at the Singapore Presidential Palace on Tuesday, (21/11).
The Darjah Utama Bakti Cemerlang (Tentera) Award is the highest military award from the Singapore Government given to Menhan Prabowo. The award was given because while serving as Menhan since October 2019, Menhan Prabowo was considered to have extraordinary services and a very important role for the country in maintaining, maintaining and strengthening good relations in the defense sector with Singapore.
The President of Singapore said that this award was proof of recognition of Menhan Prabowo’s significant contribution in increasing defense cooperation between Indonesia and Singapore.
“This award is a tribute to people outside the Singapore army for their services in strengthening defense cooperation with Singapore,” said the Singapore Presidential Palace protocol in the series of ceremonies.
Meanwhile, Singapore Defense Minister Ng Eng Hen in his statement also said that the Singapore government had recognized the quality of Menhan Prabowo Subianto’s ability and leadership who had succeeded in deepening cooperation and making military relations between the two countries stronger. This is proven through regular interactions and joint training between the Indonesian army and the Singaporean army.
