Jakarta – Polres Metro Jakarta Pusat alerted 1,391 joint personnel to secure the demonstration by the Tripilar Association (Islamic United Front, Aqsa Working Group, Islamic Organization Council, Indonesian Coalition to Defend Baitul Maqdis, GNPF Ulama and PA 212) at the US Embassy, Saturday, (13 /1).
“We have prepared 1.391 joint personnel to secure this action. Later the personnel will be stationed at a number of points, including in front of the US Ambassador, Horse Statue, State Palace, HI Roundabout, Farmer’s Statue, Banteng and Harmoni fields,” said Kapolres Metro Jakarta Pusat, Kombes Pol Susatyo Purnomo Condro today.
It was explained that the masses who would take action in front of the US Embassy would later fill Jalan Merdeka Selatan and its surroundings. Because of this, the police will install a road closure border in front of the US Embassy and at the Horse Statue.
“We will direct the traffic flow from the direction of the Tani statue towards Jalan Merdeka Selatan straight towards Jalan Merdeka Timur. Then we will close the traffic flow from the horse statue towards Jalan Merdeka Selatan and direct it towards Harmoni,” explained Kapolres Susatyo.
Furthermore, the Kapolres Susatyo also appealed to people who were going to do activities and pass along Jalan Merdeka Selatan to avoid Jalan Merdeka Selatan and look for alternative routes.
In providing this security, the Kapolres Susatyo also reminded and emphasized members to always prioritize a persuasive and humanist attitude.
“There will be many mothers and children participating in the action. For this reason, we will carry out this security persuasively and of course humanistically,” said Kapolres Susatyo.
