Jakarta – Polda Metro Jaya is preparing Operation Lilin Jaya 2023 for security during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays. This operation will be held for 12 days.
“This operation is codenamed Operation Lilin Jaya 2023. Of course it applies to Polda Metro Jaya and all levels of Polres and Polsek in the Polda Metro Jaya area,” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko to reporters, Saturday, ( 12/16).
He also said, Operation Lilin Jaya 2023 was part of a follow-up to the ST National Police Chief’s telegram letter Number 16/04/XII/2023.
In the 12-day operation, Kombes Pol Trunoyudo continued, the police will provide security for homecoming and returning traffic during Christmas and New Year to maintain security and public order (kamtibmas).
“When people leave their residence or house, they can coordinate with Polres and Polsek to open vehicle storage services,” he said.
This operation will also focus on providing security for Christians who will carry out Christmas and New Year services.
“Vulnerability prediction is how to ensure that our brothers and sisters carry out their worship safely and smoothly and comfortably. Then don’t block people’s movement to tourist attractions during the holidays,” he explained.
He also said that the 2023 Christmas homecoming flow is predicted to occur on 22 December-23 December 2023. Meanwhile, the Christmas return flow will be on 26 December-27 December 2023. Therefore, Polda Metro Jaya will also coordinate with a number of parties regarding the implementation of Operation Lilin Jaya 2023.
