Jakarta – Presidential candidate number 2 who is also the winner of the quick count presidential election results, Prabowo Subianto, made a pilgrimage to the graves of his late father, Soemitro Djojohadikoesoemo and his grandfather, R.A Wirodihardjo at Karet Bivak TPU, Jakarta Pusat, Thursday, (15/2).
Prabowo, who arrived at around 12.50 WIB, was immediately greeted enthusiastically by hundreds of residents at Karet Bivak. It turned out they had been waiting for him since 09.00 WIB. Prabowo greeted them and served them one by one. There were people asking for photos, shaking hands, and even small children fighting over each other to be carried.
“Long live Prabowo!” they shouted.
After greeting local residents, Prabowo then rode a motorbike to the graves of his father and grandfather for a pilgrimage.
Prabowo looked very devoted to praying. After that, the procession continued with sowing flowers and pouring water on the graves.
“Earlier I made a pilgrimage to my mother’s grave in Tanah Kusir. “Now I’m going to my father here, in Karet,” said Prabowo.
