Ubud – Daily Chairperson of the Community Social Interaction Agency (Bisma) Dr John Palinggi was awarded an award for his dedication for the umpteenth time. Most recently, the award was given by Puri Agung Singaraja (Puri Gede Buleleng) in Ubud, Bali, last Saturday, (16/12).
John Palinggi and one of the Brunei princes won the prestigious award in the categories of Environmental Observer, Plurality Activist and World Peace. The award was handed over directly by King Agung Ngurah Ugrasena and witnessed by several kings and queens from Bali as well as several Indonesian kingdoms and invitees from the United Nation as well as representatives from India.
When confirmed by journalists, John Palinggi confirmed and expressed his gratitude for the trust given to him by Puri Agung Singaraja Bali. Even though this is not the first award he has received, he admitted that he did not expect to be selected.
As is known, previously John Palinggi was active as an environmental consultant and was part of the Expert Council of the Association of Indonesian Environmental Science Scholars together with Prof. Emil Salim.
Then, as Daily Chair at Bisma (Community Social Interaction Agency), he was also known to be close and often in contact with various levels of society who had different belief backgrounds.
“So perhaps that sense of brotherhood is what they see until they give them a pluralistic character,” he said.
Not only that. The chairman of the Association of Indonesian Goods Procurement and Distributor Partners (ARDIN) also often promotes brotherhood in differences between people.
“We are, as the Confucian religion says, in the 4 corners of the ocean, we are all brothers and sisters, so we are human beings who cover the world,” he said.
For your information, John Palinggi is one of the top business figures in Indonesia. However, unlike most people, he actually has a very strong humble nature. His concern for others is also very high, making many people admire him.
Not strange actually. Because in his life, John Palinggi always adheres to the principle of life, making other people happy is one of the effective recipes that makes him always successful and healthy.
“I have proven that from year to year, it seems that if we love humans, we always yearn for brotherhood, share love and make other people smile, laugh happily, then the implication is that it will give us a long life and good fortune. I even feel that happiness at my current age,” he said smile.
“I’ve been in business for 45 years and have never had a problem. Until now I don’t have a single penny of debt. People ask me if the office rent is 560 million per year, how come there’s no debt. That’s the way God has given us to manage finances wisely,” he continued.
Furthermore, John Palinggi on this occasion also invited the entire community to share with fellow humans.
“They won’t come to you if you don’t have money. Once you have money then they will line up to come and remember, it was commanded by God, so give it,” he emphasized.
However, he also reminded us that when helping others, never expect anything in return. Give sincerely, then God will determine the best.
“At least you are healthy and that is what I get. There is not the slightest disease in my body. And I can continue this life full of joy with my family,” he said happily. Bembo
