Bali – Assistant Operational Chief of Police Inspector General Pol Verdianto Iskandar Bitticaca ensured that security for the 2023 Archipelagic and Island State (AIS) Forum Summit which was held in Bali has so far run safely and smoothly. According to him, all security activities for the Summit participants, starting from the arrival of the delegation to the hotel and venue, were according to plan.
“Until the third day of operations, security and order conditions were still safe and good. “All security activities for the Summit participants have been carried out in an orderly, safe and smooth manner, starting from the arrival of the delegation from the airport to the hotel and venue,” said Verdianto at Command Center 91, Bali, Wednesday, (11/10).
Inspector General Pol Verdianto said that the National Police, in securing the 2023 AIS Forum Summit, held an operation codenamed Tribrata Agung 2023. Planning for this operation had been carried out for 2 months.
“Then we brought everything together and we trained, we held the title and now the implementation is up to supervision and control,” he said.
Regarding security, Inspector General Pol Verdianto as Karendalops Operation Tribrata Agung 2023 explained that it was divided into 4 rings. Ring 1 which is at the venue for the security of the head of state or VVIP is the task of Paspampres and TNI. However, securing VIPs or at ministerial level will be the task of the National Police.
Then in ring two there is the Walrolakir route. National Police personnel will secure the route along which VVIP and VIP guests will pass from the airport to the accommodation and venue.
“In rings 3 and 4 are the main areas, namely Nusa Dua, Kuta, Sanur and the buffer area at the port. “This is our focus on security,” he said.
In Operation Tribrata Agung, the National Police has prepared a Command Center that can monitor all movements of state guests. Starting from arrival at the airport, accommodation, venues and tourist attractions that the delegation may visit.
“The Command Center also monitors our personnel who provide escorts in both two-wheeled and four-wheeled vehicles. “We can see that live,” he said.
Furthermore, Inspector General Pol Verdianto said that the security pattern for the 2023 AIS Forum Summit was the same as holding the G20 Summit and the ASEAN Summit. The security challenge is that there are unplanned activities of state guests.
“Like yesterday, state guests went to tourist attractions. This sometimes has its own challenges, but we already anticipate when planning operations how state guests will suddenly visit tourist attractions. What is our security pattern? Because this was impromptu and not on the schedule. We informed the command center that there was a visit. So our personnel at the object are ready with communication tools. “We control it so that our personnel are ready to protect state guests,” he explained.
Inspector General Pol Verdianto also said that security for the 2023 AIS Forum Summit involved pecalang and local Balinese residents. He has appealed to welcome state guests well.
“With this activity, the Balinese people receive a positive impact so that the wheels of the economy turn well,” he said. Bembo
