Jakarta – Police are starting to shed light on the case of a father with the initials HR (50) and his toddler son, AQ (2), who were found dead rotting in a house in the Koja area, North Jakarta, last Saturday, (28/10).
The victim’s wife with the initials NH, who was at the location for days when her husband and child were already dead, is now in good health and recovering physically and psychologically.
Reporting from Antara, Kapolres Metro Jakarta Utara Kombes Pol Gidion Arif Setyawan said that NH, who is healthy and recovering physically and psychologically, can now tell in detail what happened.
“That he was indeed traumatized. But then after the doctor stated that he was healthy, he had been given treatment and he was able to give a reliable statement, then yesterday we asked him to give a statement at the Police,” said Kapolres Gidion, Sunday, (19/11).
According to Kapolres Gidion, it was confirmed from NH’s statement that HR died on Friday, (20/10). This statement was also supported by statements from a number of neighbors who said that HR did not perform Friday prayers.
Meanwhile, the reason why NH did not try to seek help outside the house for days, according to his statement, was because his psychological condition was under stress, and his body was in pain so he could not do anything more.
“She had tried to help her husband but couldn’t do anything more because he was already sick so he could only lock himself up at home,” said Kapolres Gidion.
Currently, investigators are still digging up NH’s information regarding the whereabouts of her two children, who at the time of the incident were alone in the room and locked from the inside.
The reason is, NH admitted that he did not open the bedroom door because he could not open it considering his weak body condition.
This information has also been compared with the statements of a number of neighbors that NH was found in a weak body condition, such as not eating.
