Jakarta – The Jatanras Sub-Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya succeeded in uncovering the murder case of a woman whose body was found dead in a rented house in Citarik Village, Jatireja Village, East Cikarang, Bekasi Regency.
The body of the woman with the initials JS (25) was found bound by duct tape. JS was killed by his girlfriend, AMW (34), with rat poison.
In his official statement, Head of Sub-Directorate for Jatanras Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Samian said, that the rat poison used by AMW was purchased from a bird feed shop in the North Cikarang area. The poison is then mixed into the victim’s food and drink.
“The motive was debt because the perpetrator could not return the debt to the victim amounting to Rp2 million. AMW borrowed the money from the victim’s family through the victim’s intermediary with interest reaching Rp4 million. So the total debt the perpetrator currently owes the victim is Rp6 million,” said AKBP Samian in his statement, Monday, (11/12) ago.
Apart from that, AKBP Samian continued, a romantic motive was also found in this murder case. The victim forced the perpetrator to return his legal wife to his hometown. This is what makes the perpetrator annoyed and inflamed.
“The motive was romance because the victim forced the perpetrator to return the perpetrator’s legal wife to the village so that the victim and perpetrator could be together,” explained the best graduate officer and winner of Adhi Makayasa from the 2005 Tathya Dharaka Akpol Battalion.
As is known, this case was revealed on December 8 2023 after residents’ sense of smell was disturbed due to the strong smell of rotting food from a rented house. After checking, it turned out that JS was dead with his mouth taped and his hands and feet tied.
The police then carried out an investigation into this murder case. And finally, on December 9 2023, the perpetrator, namely AMW, was successfully arrested by the Sub-Directorate of Jatanras Polda Metro Jaya.
AMW is now officially a suspect and charged under Article 338 and/or Article 340 of the Criminal Code, with a maximum threat of the death penalty.

AMW came home from buying rat poison at the bird feed shop. He then bought a packet of rice and iced tea to take to JS’s rented house where he had been staying for a week.
Upon arrival at the rental, AMW invited JS to eat. He then hurriedly put the rat poison he bought into food and drink while the victim went to wash his hands.

JS, who ate the poisoned food, felt dizzy. He then became unconscious.
AMW had time to examine the victim to ensure he had died. And he took the initiative to tape the victim’s mouth and nose and tie his legs to make sure the victim died.
