Polda Metro Jaya Karoops Brigjen Pol Marsudianto and Brigjen Pol Ahmad Ramadhan (Karo Penmas Divhumas Polri) as Team Leader Polri Headquarters Supervision Team.

Jakarta – Polda Metro Jaya Karoops Brigjen Pol Marsudianto together with the Principal Officer (PJU) of Polda Metro Jaya received a visit from the Polri Headquarters Supervision Team in the context of Operation Lilin Jaya 2023. The meeting was held at the Polda Metro Jaya Ops Bureau Building, Tuesday, (26/12).

This supervision is to ensure that regional officials carry out operational activities that have been well planned by the Polri Headquarters. Starting from how to act and conduct personnel in accordance with the SOPs set during Christmas and New Year.

This activity was attended by Brigjen Pol Ahmad Ramadhan (Karo Penmas Divhumas Polri) as Team Leader, Kombes Pol Sri Astuti from Densus 88, Kombes Pol Roni Faisal from Divpropam Polri, Kombes Pol Edy Daryono from Baharkam Polri and Main Officials from Polda Metro Jaya as well as all the Heads of the Ops Sub-Task Force Jaya Candles – 2023.

Head of the Supervision Team for Karo Penmas Divhumas Polri Brigjen Pol Ahmad Ramadhan said that the momentum of Christmas and New Year (Nataru) is always awaited by the Indonesian people at the end of every year. This has implications for increasing community mobility.

“This of course makes the challenges of the Polri’s duties even more complex, requiring both mental and physical readiness to create a safe and conducive Sitkamtibmas.” said Brigjen Pol Ahmad Ramadhan.

He further said that the potential for community movement during the Christmas and New Year holidays this time will increase 2.5 times compared to 2022.

“The predicted peak of homecoming traffic for Nataru is December 22-23. Meanwhile, the return flow will be on December 26-27 and January 1-2,” he said.

He also said that, based on observations made, the security and social security situation in several regions had improved as a result of the increasing political situation in the 2024 election process.

He said that Operation Lilin was not only about securing places of worship and returning homecoming flows, but also anticipating terrorism, handling natural disasters and community food security.

“This requires all of us to be prepared. Apart from that, we must also anticipate security at tourist attractions, vital objects and residential areas,” said Brigjen Pol Ahmad Ramadhan.

For this reason, he advised all ranks not to be careless. Because all of this requires police preparedness to create security in society.

“It is hoped that the implementation of the police operations that are being held will be able to provide a sense of security and comfort for the community during the Christmas and New Year holiday season,” he emphasized. Bembo
