Jakarta – On Wednesday, December 6 2023, Polda Metro Jaya will celebrate its 74th Anniversary. Welcoming this big day, the highest leader of Polda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Karyoto, held a joint prayer with religious leaders, religious scholars and community leaders, Main Official and Kapolres at Al Kautsar Mosque Polda Metro Jaya, Tuesday, (5/12).
This spiritual activity aims to ask for protection and safety for all Polda Metro Jaya personnel in carrying out their duties of maintaining security and public order (kamtibmas) in the DKI Jakarta area, especially ahead of the 2024 elections.
In his speech, Kapolda Karyoto said that this joint prayer was a form of gratitude for all the blessings and gifts that Allah SWT had given to Polda Metro Jaya during its 74 years of existence. He also invited all participants to pray that the 2024 elections would be safe and peaceful.
“We at Polda Metro Jaya are committed to maintaining neutrality and professionalism in securing the 2024 elections. We also hope that the 2024 elections will take place safely and peacefully,” said Kapolda Karyoto.
Furthermore, Kapolda Karyoto also hopes for the participation of religious leaders, community leaders and youth leaders to spread messages of peace and tolerance in society. This is really needed to create a peaceful ecosystem during the election period.
