Jakarta – The Director of Registration and Identification (Dirregident) of Korlantas Polri, Brigadier General Yusri Yunus, may be one of several Polri generals who have been the busiest in the past month. Why not. There are many breakthroughs from their job responsibilities that must be carried out for improvement.
Call it, for example, improving and controlling special coded number plates, evaluating the practice of driving license exams (SIM) number 8 and zig-zag, to expanding the Prototype SIM Satpas which already uses Face Recognition technology to create and extend SIMs.
For special coded number plates, during the era of Brigadier General Yusri Yunus, new special plates with the code ‘Z’ have been issued and at the same time removing the old codes namely ‘RF’, ‘IR’ and ‘QH’.
Then for the evaluation of the number 8 and zig-zag SIM practice exams, Brigadier General Pol Yusri has also scheduled a comparative study abroad to examine whether the zig-zag and number 8 SIM practice exams are still relevant.
While the expansion of Face Recognition technology at the Satpas Prototype aims to avoid things such as extortion in serving the community. Not to be left behind are also efforts to further ground down the Presis National SIM (SINAR) application to make it easier for people to extend their SIM by no longer coming to the Satpas office.
To be honest, all the movements and breakthroughs made by this Poso-born general remind us of the philosophical sayings of the legendary Indian spiritual leader, Mahatma Gandhi. This important figure from the Indian Independence Movement once said: “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others”.
The figure of Brigadier General Pol Yusri Yunus is actually well known as a police officer who is used to working in the service. And as Mahatma Gandhi said, perhaps by now he really has found the originality and depth of his truest self.

Don’t forget too, before serving at Korlantas, Brigadier General Pol Yusri Yunus was the Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) Polda Metro Jaya. His job at that time was as a guard and steward of the flow of information in the working area of the Metro Police to all lines. And he can do it all neatly until it’s finished.
Moving to work at Korlantas Polri on October 31, 2021, he was again trusted by the leadership to be given special assignments to serve the community related to motorized vehicle matters and all its accessories.

Apart from his thick routine and responsibilities serving, this general with the Sagittarius zodiac sign also recorded a breakthrough in his first year of service at the National Police Traffic Corps. At that time, he boldly proposed a breakthrough to abolish progressive taxes and eliminate transfer fees.
According to him, he made the proposal with the aim of disciplining motorized vehicle ownership data.
The elimination of transfer fees and progressive taxes, he said, was also carried out to stimulate people to be more obedient in paying taxes.
“We propose that this name change be omitted. Why omit it? So that the community wants everyone to pay taxes,” said Brigadier General Pol Yusri Yunus to the media crew, Thursday (25/8) in 2022.
He said, one of the reasons many people do not pay motor vehicle tax is due to the high cost of transferring names.
Regarding the abolition of progressive tax, he also said that there are still many original vehicle owners who use other people’s names for their vehicle data to avoid progressive tax.
“That’s why I made this suggestion to put things in order so that everything can be tidy again,” he explained at the time.
Now, all the suggestions
patent has been granted. The government has issued a policy of reducing the burden of Transfer of Motorized Vehicle Ownership Fees (BBNKB) and eliminating progressive taxes.
Cash, a bright smile wrapped in the word Alhamdulillah came from the lips of this one-star general who had graduated from the 1991 Bhara Daksa Battalion of the Police Academy. Bembo
