Biak Numfor – Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto visited Military Resort Command Headquarters (Makorem) 173/Praja Vira Braja, Samofa District, Biak Numfor, Papua, Thursday, (23/11).
The visit of Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto at Makorem 173/PVB was carried out after accompanying the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo at the 2023 Cenderawasih Bay Sail event in the Semau Beach Area, Biak Numfor, Papua.
The Panglima TNI and his entourage were welcomed by Danrem 173/PVB Brigjen TNI Franz Yohanes Purba. Next, the Panglima TNI headed to the Korem 173/PVB Makorem Hall to provide guidance to soldiers, civil servants and women from Persit Korem 173/PVB.
In his instructions, he told soldiers to always maintain good relations between superiors and subordinates.
“I will side with the lower unit because I was also from the lowest level of soldiers like you. “I hope that we remain loyal and united, where we are loyal to our superiors and subordinates, especially our comrades in arms and especially your commander, where your commander could become your superior one day,” said Panglima Agus.
To the mothers of Persit Korem 173/PVB, Panglima Agus also hopes that there will always be friendly relations between the mothers.
On the other hand, the Panglima TNI also emphasized that in the upcoming 2024 elections the TNI must always be neutral and must not participate in practical politics, or become one of the candidate pair’s success team. Meanwhile, to soldiers whose families wanted to register as members of the army, he also emphasized that no one should use money.
“I ordered the Pangdam XVII/Cenderawasih and Danrem 173/PVB. Next year there will be the largest number of troops received from Korem 173/PVB,” he stressed.
After giving the briefing, the Panglima TNI gave prizes to soldiers and mothers whose children excelled. Before leaving Korem 173/PVB Headquarters, Panglima Agus also had the opportunity to plant a tree in front of Korem 174/PVB Headquarters.
