This statement was conveyed by Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto when giving directions at the Entry Briefing activity which was also attended by the Chiefs of Staff of the Army (KSAD), Navy (KSAL) and Air Force (KSAU), as well as the Main Official (PJU) of TNI Headquarters, the Commander of the Regional Operations Command (Pangkotamaops) each -each class at the Gatot Soebroto Hall, TNI Headquarters, Cilangkap, East Jakarta, Friday, (1/12) yesterday.
In front of the event participants, the Panglima TNI also said that the TNI is currently facing 3 national strategic environmental issues. These three things are Terrorist Separatist Groups, Natural Disaster Alert, and Elections.
As this is also in line with the implementation of the main tasks of the TNI as mandated by the constitution, Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto has taken a stand by carrying out the vision of a TNI that is PRIMA, professional, responsive, integrative, modern and adaptive.
On this occasion, Panglima Agus also promised to always pay attention to improving the welfare of soldiers, including equalizing allowances (ULP), increasing human resources according to their placement, modernizing defense equipment according to needs, as well as prioritizing education for soldiers who excel as a form of appreciation.
Panglima Agus also underlined training activities to create a common perception in training. There are several training curricula that must be improved and adapted to developments in the current strategic environment.
“We must side with soldiers to improve their good combat instincts so that they do not become needless victims in conflict areas,” he said.
Meanwhile, Panglima Agus special attention and emphasis as a guide for soldiers in carrying out their duties is the six points outlined.
The first point is to work with the intention of worship, sincere loyalty and sincerity in the blessing of God Almighty. The second point is to uphold the Soldier’s Oath, Sapta Marga and the 8 mandatory TNI duties wherever they serve in order to realize professionalism.
The emphasis on the third point is responsiveness in dealing with developments in the situation through early detection, early prevention and quick reaction. Then the fourth point is solid, compact, integrative and synergistic with all components of the nation by not carrying out acts of arrogance and always maintaining the trust of the people.
Then the fifth point is creative innovation in accordance with the latest developments in scientific and technological knowledge to accelerate the modernization of defense equipment.
