Jakarta – Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto attended the 2023 Candle Operation Cross-Sector Coordination Meeting (Rakor) in the framework of Security for Christmas 2023 and New Year (Nataru) 2024 which was held by the Polri in the Ballroom of the Bidakara Hotel Jl. Jend. Gatot Subroto Kav 71-73 Pancoran South Jakarta, Thursday, (7/12).
This coordination meeting, led by the Kapolri Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, aims to increase the solidity and synergy of relevant stakeholders in carrying out their duties to welcome Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024.
In the coordination meeting, Panglima TNI Jenderal TNI Agus Subiyanto conveyed the TNI’s policy in assisting the TNI to the Polri for Nataru. The Panglima TNI policy was explained by Assistant Operation Panglima TNI Laksda TNI Rachmad Jayadi.
As for the TNI’s readiness to overcome the Nataru crisis, the TNI will prepare personnel according to the Polri’s request for security at churches, airports, train stations, terminals, integrated posts, security posts for rest areas, shopping centers, ports and tourist attractions.
Then, the TNI also prepared defense equipment to support security in the form of helicopters, ships and planes to support sea and air transportation as well as air evacuation if necessary.
Meanwhile, the number of units and personnel alerted to protect Nataru is from the TNI AD as many as 43 battalion-level units with a total of 15,050 soldiers.
Then the TNI AL also alerted 14 battalion-level units with personnel totaling 4,900 soldiers to secure the port. Meanwhile, the TNI AU is alerting 49 bases or 17 company-level units and 32 platoon-level units with a total of 2,943 soldier personnel. These troops are alerted to secure international and non-international airports in Indonesia.
Thus, the total number of TNI soldiers from three dimensions who are on standby to protect Christmas 2024 is 22,893 personnel.
On the same occasion, the Kapolri Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, in his presentation explained that the operation codenamed Operation Lilin 2023 was a major operation, because it involved 127,843 joint personnel, consisting of 82,432 TNI-Polri personnel and 45,411 personnel from a combination of all stakeholders involved. .
Furthermore, Kapolri Listyo Sigit also explained that this operation was carried out starting on December 22 and ending in January. However, starting from the 18th, Latpraop will be held, then TFG on the 20th and the troops will be held on December 21.
