Semarang – Chairman (Ketum) of the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Hanura Party, Oesman Sapta Odang said that the decision to support the PDI Perjuangan presidential candidate (bacapres) Ganjar Pranowo was a decision of Hanura cadres and administrators in the region.
“That (supporting Ganjar) is not for me to decide. That is the decision of the Hanura Party DPD throughout Indonesia, not me. I just participate. As a leader, you have to listen to cadres and administrators in the regions,” said OSO, Oesman Sapta’s nickname, in written statement received by topikonline.co.id in Jakarta, Tuesday, (30/5) yesterday.
OSO said this when opening the National Workshop and Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for members of the Regional People’s Representative Council (DPRD) from the Hanura Party, in Semarang, Central Java, Monday (29/5) last night.
He said again, Hanura’s decision to support Ganjar was the right decision. This is because the Governor of Central Java has a lot of experience in the executive and legislative fields and has received support from President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).
Support from President Jokowi, continued OSO, was one of the most important factors for the Hanura Party in deciding to support Ganjar.
“Because Mr. Jokowi has expressed his support in front of Mrs. Mega (Chairman of the PDI Perjuangan), that’s why I believe it. If he doesn’t support it, it’s impossible for Mr. Jokowi to be there. There are a lot of presidential affairs, but Mr. Jokowi came there, helped provide support Yes, we will,” he explained.
Not to forget, OSO also appreciated Ganjar’s presence at the national workshop and technical guidance (bimtek) for the Hanura Party. According to him, Ganjar’s presence made the atmosphere of the Hanura Party’s activities more lively and enthusiastic.
“During the Hanura Party’s technical guidance activities, this event was the liveliest. I am very happy that the regional welcome was so friendly and this activity was personally attended by the Governor of Central Java,” OSO said.
On this occasion, the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo also welcomed the presence of Hanura Party cadres and officials in Central Java. He also appreciated the support given by the Hanura Party for his candidacy in the 2024 Presidential Election.
“Let’s show the world, this election is a people’s party, everyone should be happy. With a new spirit, we believe we can create enthusiasm to achieve victory and I’m sure Hanura can bring hope and that new spirit,” said Ganjar.
