Jakarta – The Satpas SIM Directorate of Traffic of Polda Metro Jaya has opened 5 mobile car driving license (SIM) service outlets for people who wish to apply for an extension of the SIM validity period.
The SIM owner must periodically renew his SIM, so that the SIM status does not die.
According to the Twitter page @TMCPoldaMetro, this mobile SIM service operates from 08.00 to 14.00 WIB.
The following are the locations for mobile SIM services:
West Jakarta: LTC Glodok & Citraland Mall. East Jakarta: Grand Cakung Mall. South Jakarta: Kalibata Trilogy Campus. Central Jakarta: Banteng Field Post Office
SIM holders who wish to extend at the Mobile SIM booth are expected to prepare the necessary documents, namely the original KTP and original SIM along with a photocopy, fill out the application form, take a medical and psychological test at the outlet location.
For the record, mobile SIM services are only intended for people who wish to extend the validity period of SIM A and SIM C.
SIM extension in a mobile SIM car is not only for SIM holders domiciled in DKI Jakarta, but all SIM owners from all over Indonesia can apply for a SIM extension in a mobile SIM car.
SIM owners must extend it on time. This is because a SIM that has run out, even if it’s only 1 day late, will immediately be considered dead and can’t be used anymore.
This is explained in the Chief of Police Regulation Number 9 of 2012 Article 11.
It was explained, the SIM issued by the Satpas (SIM Administration Organizing Unit) is valid for 5 years and can be extended. However, if you are late in extending your SIM and the validity period expires, then the SIM will be deemed dead in accordance with the applicable provisions and cannot be renewed.
