Papua – The Indonesian Minister of Defense (Menhan), Prabowo Subianto, inaugurated the Tk. IV Timika Kesdam XVII/Cendrawasih, Papua, on Friday, (10/11). The inauguration was marked by the signing of the RS Tk inscription. IV Timika is a symbol of the hospital being able to operate.
“We have just seen the completion of the construction of Level IV Hospital Kesdam XVII/Cendrawasih.This is a newly built hospital in the Timika area. I think it is not only for the benefit of the TNI but is also open to all the people around here,” said Menhan Prabowo.
Furthermore, Menhan Prabowo also expressed his appreciation and thanked all parties who had contributed to building the Tk Hospital. IV Timika in a short time.
“I would also particularly like to thank the Kamoro people, the Kamoro Tribe. Because if I’m not mistaken, this land was donated by the Kamoro Tribe for the benefit of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Menhan Prabowo in his appreciation.
He also said that hospital construction would continue until the end of the year with a target of inaugurating 26 hospitals. For next year, the plan is to build another 20 hospitals.
“So our target, our ideal, is that in every district there must be a hospital that is modern and has sufficient facilities. So, soldiers, ASN and the people do not have to travel far for treatment. “Because there are health services near them,” Menhan Prabowo said.
Before inaugurating the hospital, Menhan Prabowo also had the opportunity to visit Makodim 1710/Mimika. Minister of Defense Prabowo’s arrival was welcomed by Pangkogabwilhan III LetjenvTNI Richard Tampubolon, Pangdam XVII/Cendrawasih Mayjen TNI Izak Pangemanan, and Pangkoopsau III
TNI Marsda Donal Kasenda. Not only was he welcomed, Menhan Prabowo also received updated information about the conditions and circumstances of Papua from Pangkogabwilhan III.
During this visit, Menhan Prabowo also distributed 164 official motorbikes to support the smooth running of TNI-Polri duties. The 164 units of official motorbikes are divided into 70 units for Kodim 1710/Mimika personnel, three units for Air Base personnel, three units for Lanal personnel, three units for Police personnel, 10 units for Kogabwilhan III personnel, 25 units for Denkav 3 personnel /SC
Dam XVII/Cendrawasih, and 50 units for personnel from Yonif 757 Kodam XVII/Cendrawasih.
