The 12 water points are divided into 3 points in Pegantenan District, 2 points in Palengaan District, 4 points in Batumarmar District, 2 points in Waru District and 1 point in Pasean District.
“Today I am happy and grateful to be present in Pamekasan Regency and to be able to officially hand over this aid,” said Minister of Defense Prabowo at the beginning of his speech.
Not to forget, Minister of Defense Prabowo also expressed his gratitude for the hard work of various elements, including the Chancellor of the Indonesian Defense University, deans, engineers and technicians so that 12 water points had flowed and the benefits could be felt.
“I received reports that almost 10 thousand Pamekasan residents are no longer experiencing water difficulties now,” Defense Minister Prabowo said.
Even so, continued Minister of Defense Prabowo, there are still 15 points in the hamlets which are currently still being followed up. The hope is that in about a month the 15 points will start flowing.
“We will continue to work and provide benefits in West Java, Banten and other areas outside Java, to improve our capabilities,” he explained.
Furthermore, Defense Minister Prabowo also hopes that the territorial command and police can help in coastal areas.
“It turns out that this area has many water sources that come out on the beach, in the sea. Some are 100 meters, 30 meters, some up to 1 kilo, they come out in the sea,” said Minister of Defense Prabowo.
For this reason, he continued, he asked Danramil, Babinsa, and Bhabinkamtibmas to be deployed to go directly to the community.
The clean water project assisted by the Ministry of Defense was carried out by the Clean Water Task Force of the Indonesian Defense University (Unhan RI). The task force, which was formed and tasked with Defense Minister Prabowo, is working to map areas that often experience drought and help build drilled wells and infrastructure.
“Starting last year, the Indonesian Defense University was ordered by Minister of Defense Prabowo to focus community service activities on providing assistance to areas that frequently experience drought,” said Indonesian Defense University Chancellor Lt. Gen. TNI Jonni Mahroza at the event.
