Jakarta – The peak of the return flow for the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays is predicted to occur on Monday, (1/1). The peak of return flow on January 1 2024 will be the second peak of return flow after Tuesday, (26/12).
“January 1 2024 will also be the peak of reverse flow, the VC (volume capacity) ratio is quite large. We have to do one way from KM 188, or from the Kalikangkung toll road KM 414 one way, starting at 14.00 WIB. This is situational,” explained the Kakorlantas Polri, Irjen Pol Aan Suhanan in a written statement, Tuesday, (26/12).
He also said, that the second peak of reverse flow would begin on Saturday, (30/12). Therefore, continued Irjen Pol Aan, his party will implement traffic engineering to anticipate traffic jams.
At the peak of the first reverse flow, Korlantas Polri implemented traffic engineering for vehicles heading to Jakarta starting at 14.00 WIB.
Head of the Operations Section (Kabag Ops) of Korlantas Polri, Kombes Pol Edy Djunaedi said, that traffic engineering was implemented to anticipate the peak of backflow during the 2023 Nataru holiday.
“(Predict) the first peak will return today,” said Djunaedi in a written statement, Tuesday, (26/12).
Traffic engineering is planned to start from 14.00 to 24.00 WIB. Check out the details:
– One way traffic engineering will be carried out from KM 188 Palimanan Toll Gate (GT) to KM 72 GT Cikampek Utama
– Continued contraflow traffic engineering using 2 lanes from KM 72 to KM 47
– From KM 47 to KM 36 using 1 lane contraflow traffic engineering
– Vehicles from Bandung going to Cirebon via the Cisumdawu Toll Road will be taken out at the Jaya Majalengka-Cirebon-Palimanan 3 end exit
– Vehicles on the one way return lane can exit through the interchange gate:
1. Sumber Jaya.
2. Kertajati.
3. Cisumdawu.
4. Cikedung.
5. Earrings.
6. Kalijati.
7. Cikopo. Bembo
