Korlantas Polri and Gojek Hold Driving Safety Ceremony

The Republic of Indonesia Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) and Gojek held a Driving Safety Call with hundreds of partner drivers, Tuesday, (23/5).

Jakarta – The Republic of Indonesia Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) and Gojek held a Driving Safety Call with hundreds of partner drivers, Tuesday, (23/5). This meeting aims to strengthen shared commitment regarding the importance of driving safety from the risk of traffic accidents.

The Kakorlantas Polri, Inspector General Pol Firman Shantyabudi said that his party would always prioritize preventive, educative and persuasive actions in terms of driving safety and security. The large number of Gojek driver partners spread throughout Indonesia can become strategic partners in increasing public awareness of the importance of driving safety and complying with traffic rules.

“We appreciate Gojek and all of its partners for always being at the forefront of assisting the traffic police in providing education on driving safety and orderly traffic. It is hoped that this will continue to reduce the number of traffic accidents and accident victim fatalities,” said Firman in a written statement, Tuesday, (23/5) yesterday.

” In the event, hundreds of driver partners were named Pioneers of Driving Safety by the National Police Traffic Corps. It is hoped that the partners will comply with traffic rules while driving while at the same time participating in spreading awareness of driving safety to the surrounding community.

Gojek President Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo said protection and convenience for all parties, including driver partners and customers, is the main thing in the company’s ecosystem.

Since 2019, on the basis of a shared shared vision, Gojek has been a pioneer in cooperation with Korlantas in improving driving safety, especially for Gojek driver partners who are on the road every day to deliver passengers and goods and food to their destination.

“We also continue to pursue various initiatives to ensure user safety and security through various technological features and a series of Gojek Safe Together Programs,” he said.

Catherine added that hundreds of thousands of driver-partners from 21 cities in Indonesia have attended driving safety training which has been held face-to-face in recent years, collaborating with various strategic partners including the government, such as the National Police Traffic Corps.

“In order to make it easy to access driving safety training materials, anytime and anywhere, partners can also get various educational materials through the Smart Tips feature in the GoPartner application, an application that is used daily for partner operations, and has been accessed more than a million times,” he explained.
