Jakarta – Kasum TNI Letjen TNI Bambang Ismawan attended the Bawaslu Alert Call, which was attended by Provincial, Regency and City Bawaslu throughout Indonesia at Monas Cross Square, Central Jakarta, Sunday, (26/11). Acting as the Ceremonial Inspector for this event was the Chair of Bawaslu Rahmat Bagja.
As is known, the campaign stages will begin on November 28 2023. And to carry out its duties as election supervisor, Bawaslu has formed a Campaign Stage Monitoring Team at all levels of Bawaslu.
Bawaslu is also asked to ensure that campaign participants comply with the regulations regarding the implementation of elections contained in Law Number 7 of 2017.
“Election participants must recognize and avoid potential violations during the campaign to prevent fraud in the 2024 elections,” said Rahmat Bagja.
Furthermore, Rahmat Bagja also invited all his staff to carry out their election supervision duties as well as possible.
“The 6th election after the democratization process/New Order. I am sure that ladies and gentlemen here, my comrades in arms and friends who will carry out supervisory duties are the best people. Witness to the Republic of Indonesia that my comrades in arms, even souls, if asked by this Republic, we will give them. Thank you, friends, all friends, hopefully we can witness the journey of democracy and guard a better democracy,” he explained at the end of his remarks.
This event ended with a performance of the Indonesian dance “Indonesia Satu” by the Ostar Dance Management Dance Studio and Angel Percusion performed by 30 dancers from various islands in Indonesia. This dance is a combination of regional elements including Java, Bali, Aceh, Sumatra, Sulawesi, Kalimantan and Papua as an illustration of Indonesia’s diversity wrapped in Indonesian Unity.
Also present at this event were Dewantoro representing the Minister of Home Affairs, the Kabareskrim Polri Komjen Pol Wahyu Widada, Deputy for Domestic Political Coordination, Mayjen TNI Heri Wiranto, Assistant Deputy for Election Management and Strengthening Political Parties, Brigjen TNI Heri Wiranto and all the chairmen and members Bawaslu throughout Indonesia.
