Jakarta – Kapolri Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo promised to provide the best security during the celebration of Christmas 2023 and New Year 2024 (Nataru) to the entire community.
This promise was made by Kapolri Listyo Sigit during a cross-sectoral coordination meeting at the Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday, (7/12).
“Of course there will be Christmas celebration activities on December 25 which we also have to secure. And then at the end of the year there will be community activities that will carry out end of year celebrations. And that is all part of a series of activities that we have to secure,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit.
He also emphasized that police personnel have also been prepared to provide the best service for people celebrating Christmas and New Year.
“We have to provide the best service. So that all community activities during Christmas can run well,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit.
Optimal security and service, he continued, must be carried out because during this year’s Christmas season, based on data from the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub), the number of homecoming and return flows will increase.
So, Kapolri Listyo Sigit continued, the best security and service must be implemented optimally so that people can celebrate Christmas and New Year with feelings of security, comfort and peace.
“And of course all existing stakeholders can really provide the best service for the people who will carry out Nataru activities,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit.
On the other hand, Kapolri Listyo Sigit also said that his staff had been asked to increase awareness of potential natural disasters that could occur at any time, even in the midst of Christmas.
“Also, recently we have started to face a rainy situation, which in this month we see that several areas have been affected, whether by floods or landslides. And this is all material for us to discuss. So that we can deal with problems that might arise. we solve it together,” he said.
Therefore, Kapolri Listyo Sigit said that the TNI, Polri, Ministries/Agencies and all related stakeholders continue to synergize and coordinate to ensure that the community’s Nataru celebration runs smoothly.
