Yogyakarta – Kapolri Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo inaugurated the Precision Police drilled well in Sidorejo Hamlet, Karangtengah Village, Kapanewon Wonosari, Gunungkidul Regency, Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). The Kapolri was accompanied by the Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) and Sultan of Yogyakarta, Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X.
“To help overcome water shortages in the Gunungkidul area, the National Police built 10 drilled wells in eight sub-districts in Gunungkidul. It is hoped that this will provide benefits for 6,647 people affected by the water crisis,” said Kapolri Listyo Sigit at the location, Saturday, (6/1).
It was stated that the drilling of this water source used budget resources from the collaboration between the DIY Regional Police and the DIY Province Serayu Opak River Area Center (BBWSSO).
Of the 10 Polri drilling well points that were inaugurated, there are two drilled well points that have been completed and can be utilized. The two drilling well points are located at the Al Barokah Mosque, RT 05 RW 05, Sidorejo Hamlet with 500 people benefiting from clean water. Then in RT 03 RW 26, Serpeng Kidul Hamlet, Pacarejo, with 609 people benefiting from clean water.
Meanwhile, eight other Polri drilling well points which are still under construction are located at
RT 16 RW 05, Dusun Dengok 5, Kal. Listen, District. Playen. 581 people benefited from clean water. Then in West Pproduktion Hamlet, Kal. Plahanan, Kec. Playen with 410 people benefiting from clean water, in RT 03 RW 04, Dusun Manggung, Kal. Ngalang, District. Gedangsari with 655 people benefiting from clean water, in RT 01 RW 02, Sumberejo Hamlet, Kal. Ngalang, District. Gedangsari with 866 people benefiting from clean water, in RT 05 RW 03, Randusari Hamlet, Kal. Watusigar, District. Ngawen with 815 people benefiting from clean water, in RT 01 RW 05, Tompak Hamlet, Kal. Giritirto, District. Purwosari with 439 people benefited from clean water, then in RT 04 RW 09, Gebang Hamlet, Kal. Girisuko, District. Panggang with 805 people benefiting from clean water, and finally in RT 06 Temanggung Hamlet, Kal. Jetis, District. Saptosari with 967 people benefited from clean water.
Apart from inaugurating the drilled well point, on this occasion Kapolri Listyo Sigit also had the opportunity to give 1,000 basic food packages.
Not only that. The Kapolri also actively participated in carrying out health services with a target of 1,050 participants. Apart from health services, 550 health aid packages were also provided to the community.
The packages distributed consisted of 250 elderly packages, 100 packages for toddlers, 100 packages to prevent stunting, and 100 healthy packages. Bembo
