Jakarta – An unusual sight was seen in a soup kitchen for fire victims in Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, North Jakarta, Tuesday, (1/8). It was called unusual because it was clear that a police officer with the rank of jasmine three was actively assisting in the cooking process there. The figure in question is none other than Kapolres Metro Jakarta Utara, Kombes Pol Gidion Arif Setyawan.
Unexpectedly, indeed. The activity he was carrying out succeeded in attracting the attention of many people and at the same time marginalizing many people’s estimates. No one, it seems, thought that a Kombes Pol Gidion who incidentally is the Kapolres Metro Jakarta Utara would want to be involved in preparing a food menu for the fire victims.
“Earlier I checked the members who were cooking in the kitchen and also helped so that the food could be distributed to the residents immediately,” said the officer who owns the Gemini zodiac sign, smiling.
He said public kitchens were provided to support the provision of food for the thousands of victims of the Kapuk Muara fire who had fled.
“This kitchen is capable of producing hundreds of packaged rice. And everything is intended for residents affected by the fire disaster,” he said.
Meanwhile, Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Trunoyudo added, hundreds of members of Mobile Brigade and Samapta Polda Metro Jaya have been deployed to help prepare food in public kitchens for fire victims living in evacuation tents.
“We have built a public kitchen from Mobile Brigade and Samapta Polda Metro Jaya at the Kapuk Muara Village Hall, Penjaringan,” he said.
“There are two public kitchens here. Samapta is able to produce 450 rice packs per day and Mobile Brigade can produce 600 rice packs a day. And we will distribute it to the victims starting from breakfast, lunch and evening, “he added as well as ending the statement. Bembo
