Jakarta – Kapolda Metro Jaya, Irjen Pol Karyoto, opened his voice in response to Habib Rizieq’s statement saying that four police officers from the Mabes Polri and Polda Metro Jaya came to his house. They came to invite him to take part in the 2024 election cooling system program.
“I don’t know for sure. But if we talk about the cooling system, it is the responsibility of all members of the community. Especially those who are called figures, yes. Cooling is cooling. We invite peaceful elections, conducive elections, because this is a people’s party, a democratic party. All people must happy, that’s how it is,” explained Kapolda Karyoto to journalists at the Polda Metro Jaya Headquarters, Friday, (9/2).
For your information, Habib Rizieq made a statement that four police officers from the Mabes Polri and Polda Metro Jaya visited his residence. One of the police officials who came had the rank of Chief Commissioner (Kombes).
“A few days ago, I was visited by four police officers. Led by a Kombes, two of them were from the Mabes Polri, the other two were from the Polda Metro Jaya,” said Habib Rizieq at the Istighotsah Kubro event in Pademangan, North Jakarta, Friday, (9/2) early morning.
He said, that the arrival of the four policemen was still well received at his house. There, continued Habib Rizieq, the police then explained the purpose and purpose of their arrival.
“So they conveyed to me a very good vision and mission. He said that we from the police have a cooling system program,” said Habib Rizieq.
“I asked what they meant, they said because it was the presidential election, the political atmosphere was extremely hot, every day there could be clashes in society. So we were tasked by the Kapolri and all ranks to create a cooling system, meaning that the people remained cool, the people remained peaceful,” he added.
Habib Rizieq honestly admitted that he welcomed the program. On the other hand, he also conveyed his personal opinion to the police. He also left a message to the Kapolri, Jenderal Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
“I told them, just tell the Kapolri that if you want peaceful elections, then hold honest and fair elections. If the elections are honest and fair, it will definitely be peaceful. But if we shout peaceful elections but you cheat, yeah, when will we want peace?” he explained.
Furthermore, Habib Rizieq also emphasized that he would help the TNI-Polri to oversee the creation of peaceful elections. He is ready to mobilize the masses if anyone wants to disrupt the election.
“We say that I will invite Muslims throughout Indonesia to support the TNI and Polri in creating honest and fair elections. If anyone tries to disrupt the elections, we are ready to help the TNI and Polri secure anyone who wants to cheat in the elections. will come,” he stressed. Bembo
