Serpong – Kakorlantas Polri, Inspector General of Police Firman Shantyabudi opened the Safety Driving and Safety Riding Police Contest activities in commemoration of Bhayangkara’s 77th Anniversary on July 1 at the ISDC Field Serpong Traffic Education Center Serpong, Saturday, (17/6).
In his remarks, Inspector General of Pol Firman said, the participants who took part in the Safety Driving and Safety Riding Police Contest represented 30 Regional Police, where participants had completed the selection stage at their respective Regional Police, both driving two-wheelers and four-wheelers. So that, he continued, he could continue one stage to arrive at the central level and take part in a direct competition at ISDC.
“Not only are we talking about how to drive a vehicle, but we hope that it is skilled, healthy, and must be ethical in traffic, the most important thing,” said Inspector General Pol Firman.
According to him, skill in driving is part of one of the competency requirements that must be possessed by a work unit, namely Patwal or Denwal PJR.
“We hope that each individual member of the police can have skillful driving like this to serve the community in any form, including securing VIPs or chasing down criminals,” explained the two-star General who is under the auspices of the Scorpio zodiac.
“Hopefully in the coming years this will be further improved so that we at all levels will continue to be motivated to always maintain and improve the competence of our members in the field,” he continued at the end of his remarks.
