Jakarta – “Sorry, this time I won’t talk much about the KPK. (Don’t want to talk about the KPK) because I have become the Kapolda Metro Jaya.”
It seems that this statement will continue to ring in the memory of the journalists of Polda Metro Jaya.
Sentences are concise, solid, clear, also firm. And it came out perfectly from the mouth of Irjen Pol Karyoto in front of journalists who asked about the polemic within the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
In terms of timing, it is clear that no one doubts the sound of the sentence when it was ejected. And also from that sentence, In essence, Irjen Pol Karyoto, who has just served as Kapolda Metro Jaya, has started to show his capability as an act as if leader. Act accordingly and not be provoked to the questions that come.
Irjen Pol Karyoto has admitted that he only wants to focus on working as the Kapolda Metro Jaya and learning from his predecessors.
“He is a genuine detective police figure who is polite and simple in his duties. He also has good performance, has integrity, is a fast learner, and is firm in law enforcement,” said Executive Director of the Indonesian Police Strategic Studies Institute (Lemkapi), Dr. Edi Hasibuan, some time.
According to him, Karyoto’s appointment as Kapolda Metro Jaya came as a surprise. However, continued Edi, he also believes that the Kapolri, General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo, must have had a series of logical and strong reasons for choosing Karyoto as Metro 1.
“There is a lot of hope for Karyoto so that he can make Polda Metro Jaya’s performance even better than now,” said Edi.
“Hopefully he will indeed be the right person to make that wish come true. We both combine our prayers and hopes to support him,” he continued.

While serving at the KPK, it is known that Karyoto and KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri were not harmonious. Firli even sent a letter to the National Police Headquarters so that Karyoto would be returned to the National Police.
Not only Karyoto, Director of Investigation Endar Prihantoro was also asked to return to the National Police.
Karyoto and Endar Priantono have also been reported to the KPK Supervisory Board (Dewas). The report relates to the investigation into the alleged corruption case in the Formula E electric car race.
Both reportedly refused to raise the status of the Formula E case to the investigation stage. The ranks in the field of prosecution did not elevate the status of the investigation to an investigation because there was not enough evidence.
