Jakarta – Character education is a form of consistent self-improvement for each individual to train one’s abilities. This character education is also believed to be very useful in determining the progress of future generations of the nation.
This was conveyed by the Kapuspen TNI, Mayjen TNI Nugraha Gumilar when giving a public lecture in front of 183 Dikreg Seskoal Class 62 students, in the Seskoal Samadikun Hall, Jakarta Selatan, Thursday, (15/2).
On this occasion, the Kapuspen TNI also conveyed important points about having good communication and relationships with all groups.
“Education is not just about seeking knowledge, but building networks is also no less important. For example, students from abroad could one day become Athan in Indonesia. So if there is a good network of fellow Dikreg Seskoal 62 Alumni, in the future it will make things easier for each other,” said the Kapuspen TNI.
Furthermore, the former Commander of the Army Polytechnic (Danpoltekad) also explained that there are 10 important factors leading to individual success and the nation’s progress in the future. The 10 important factors are honesty and strict discipline, then the sociability factor and the role of companion/partner.
