Jakarta – Polsek Metro Tamansari held a security assessment at a number of churches in the Tamansari area, Jakarta Barat, Saturday, (23/12). This step was taken to ensure that people feel comfortable while carrying out Christmas worship celebrations.
Apart from that, this step is also a form of anticipation of potential disturbances that could damage the solemnity of the Christmas worship celebration.
“The Polsek Metro Tamansari Department carried out a security assessment to anticipate potential unwanted disturbances during the Christmas worship celebration,” said Kapolsek Metro Tamansari, Kompol Adhi Wananda, Saturday, (23/12).
This security assessment was carried out in all churches in the Tamansari area. The Church of Christ Jesus in Mangga Besar is no exception.
In carrying out the security assessment at the Mangga Besar Church of Christ Jesus, the police collaborated and coordinated with the local church security.
From the assessment results, it was recorded that there were 130 CCTV points installed. The metal detectors prepared to support security are also in good condition and functioning optimally.
Kapolsek Adhi said, that all the results of this security assessment become a data base for his party to ensure that security at the church complies with security procedures
He also predicted that there would be around 3,000 congregants who would be safe and actively participate in Christmas service activities in Tamansari.
“We hope that security and order during the Christmas worship celebration can be maintained optimally and we can provide a sense of security to the congregation and the community around the church,” emphasized Kapolsek Adhi. Bembo
