Jakarta – Investigators at the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya have issued a warrant for the arrest and detention of Bani Idham Fitrianto Bayuni, a suspect in the alleged case of domestic violence (KDRT) in Cinere, Depok.
Bani Idham Fitrianto Bayuni is the husband of Princess Balqis. The two of them reported each other regarding domestic violence cases and both held the status of suspects.
Director of the General Criminal Investigation Department of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Hengki Haryadi said, Bani Idham Fitrianto Bayuni has currently been placed in the Polda Metro Jaya Detention Center (Rutan) since Tuesday, (4/7) yesterday.
“Against the husband of the victim Putri Balqis Chairunisa, in this case the suspect on behalf of Bani Idham Fitrianto Bayuni, on Tuesday, July 4 2023, an arrest and detention was made for acts of physical domestic violence against his wife, which were carried out continuously,” explained Hengki in his statement, Wednesday, (5/7).
It is said, the suspect Bani Idham Firrianto Bayuni was charged with Article 44 paragraph 1 of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 23 of 2004 concerning PKDRT juncto Article 64 of the Criminal Code.
“The maximum criminal offense is 5 (five) years in prison,” said Kombes Pol Hengki.
As is known, the Ditreskrimum Polda Metro Jaya has taken over the alleged case of Domestic Violence (KDRT) in Depok, West Java. The case involving a woman named Putri Balqis was originally handled by the Depok Metro Police.
This case was taken over after the Kapolda Metro Jaya, Inspector General Karyoto went directly to the Depok Metro Police Headquarters.
“Considering that this development has become a public concern, also looking at the aspect of the completeness capability context, both structurally the ability of personnel, this case will be carried out by Polda Metro Jaya at the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Dirkrimum),” said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya , Kombes Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko to journalists, Thursday, (25/5).
