Jakarta – Subdirectory III/Sumdaling of the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimsus) Polda Metro Jaya managed to dismantle the tricky actions of the Elpiji gas abuse plot in two different locations. The eight perpetrators of this action have been arrested and all of them have the status of suspects.
In his explanation to topikonline.co.id, the Director of Special Criminal Investigation (Dirreskrimsus) for Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Ade Safri Simanjuntak said, that the tricky actions of this plot were uncovered thanks to two police reports (LP) that were received and handled by investigators from the Sumdaling Sub-Directorate.
The first report was numbered: LP/A/53/VII/2023/SPKT.DITKRIMSUS/POLDA METRO JAYA, dated 21 July 2023. This report stated the location of the crime scene (TKP) for the tricky action of the Elpiji gas abuse plot on Jalan Tipar Halim Rt. 002/RW.006, Mekarsari, Cimanggis, Depok City.
Referring to the report data, the Sumdaling Sub-Directorate apparatus then rushed to investigate and carry out reconnaissance. And finally, on July 20, 2023, at 13.00 WIB, the tricky action of this gang that transferred the contents of subsidized 3 kg Elpiji gas cylinders to non-subsidized 12 kg Elpiji gas cylinders could also be randomized by the apparatus.
The six perpetrators in this operation were immediately picked up without resistance. They are PCA bin Alm TA as owner, HSR SNG alias TN as owner, as well as HD P bin SDRN, AMD JT bin NRN, BJMN RTK alias BN, and MHD RZK bin Alm TP JYD as employees.
It is also known that these four employees were the perpetrators who transferred the contents of the 3 kg gas cylinder to a 12 kg cylinder by means of injection using a tool.
From the results of this operation, the Sumdaling Sub-Directorate apparatus also managed to obtain a lot of evidence, the details of which were divided into 12 items. There is evidence of 38 empty 12 kg LPG gas cylinders, then 100 filled 3 kg LPG gas cylinders, then 6 empty 3 kg LPG gas cylinders, then 23 iron pipes for transferring gas cylinder contents, and 1 plastic bag with a barcode seal.
Next, there is evidence of 29 12 kg LPG gas cylinders as a result of being transported, then 8 12 kg LPG gas cylinders in the process of being transferred, then 11 empty 12 kg LPG gas cylinders, there are also 8 3 kg LPG gas cylinders in the process of being transferred, then 75 gas cylinders empty 3 kg of LPG, then 44 filled 3 kg LPG gas cylinders, and finally 23 iron pipes for transferring the contents of gas cylinders.
“After the first operation in Cimanggis was successful, a similar prison was entered again but in a different location. The team is again carrying out investigations to ensure the accuracy of the information conveyed in the prison,” said the officer with the zodiac Capricorn from the 1996 Wira Satya Akpol Battalion.
The police report he meant was report Number: LP/A/65/VIII/2023/SPKT.DITKRIMSUS/POLDA METRO JAYA, dated August 1, 2023. The location of the alleged similar crime in the LP is at Jalan Gelatik No. 62, Rice Fields, Ciputat, South Tangerang.
It doesn’t take long. As soon as the results of the investigation stated that the information was valid, on July 31, 2023, at around 03.00 WIB, the investigative team immediately moved quickly to clean up the target crime scene that was included in the prison.
“For the second arrest operation on Jalan Gelatik, Ciputat, we have secured two perpetrators, namely the initials FRD who acted as the owner and DNO, an employee assigned to inject the transfer of gas contents from a 3 kg cylinder to a 12 kg cylinder,” said Kombes Pol Ade Safri.
“As for the evidence confiscated, there were not as many as those obtained in Cimanggis. Only 4 empty 12 kg Elpiji gas cylinders, 16 empty 3 kg Elpiji gas cylinders, 2 injection equipment pipes, and one plastic bag with a seal lid,” he continued.
He further said that from the results of the interim examination, the suspects admitted that they had started carrying out this tricky action from January 2023. The 12 kg Elpiji gas cylinders produced by their ‘trick’ were resold to stalls or shops in the Depok, South Tangerang and East Jakarta areas.
“The motive is to make tricky profits by filling a non-subsidized 12 kg Elpiji gas cylinder using the contents of a subsidized 3 kg gas cylinder. That’s why they can sell cheaply in the range of Rp125,000 to Rp180,000,” said Kombes Pol Ade Safri.
“Meanwhile, the official price for a non-subsidized 12 kg gas cylinder set by the government is Rp205,000. So the market price has been damaged as a result of their actions,” he continued.
Currently the eight suspects in this case are languishing behind bars at Polda Metro Jaya Detention Center. They are also subject to multiple articles as a logical consequence of the crimes committed.
The investigators have ensnared them with Article 40 Point 9 of Law No. 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation for Amending the Provisions of Article 55 of Law Number 22 of 2001 Concerning Oil and Natural Gas in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
For the sound of Article 55 of the Criminal Code which is alleged to them is; “Anyone who misuses the transportation and or trading of subsidized petroleum gas, fuel gas and or liquefied petroleum gas by the government shall be punished with imprisonment for a maximum of 6 years and a maximum fine of Rp60 billion”.
Meanwhile, the continuation of Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code, namely; “Those who do, and those who order to do, and participate in doing the deed”. Bembo
