Ditlantas Polda Metro No Odd-Even During Long Weekend

Jakarta – The Directorate of Traffic (Ditlantas) Polda Metro Jaya has abolished the regulation on odd-even (gage) system vehicle restrictions on roads in DKI Jakarta during the long weekend Idul Adha 2023. This regulation is abolished for five days from 28 June to 2 July 2023.

“The main thing is it’s a national holiday. There really isn’t any gage. We’ll just follow the regulations,” said the Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Latif Usman to the media crew, Friday, (23/6).

He explained, based on existing regulations, the application of odd-even numbers is only enforced during working days Monday – Friday. And that doesn’t apply during weekends and also national holidays.

“Joint leave is a national holiday determined by the government. Yes (five days off) is a national holiday,” said the jasmine officer who graduated from the 1995 Battalion Patria Tama Akpol who is under the zodiac sign Leo.

As is known, the government has set a joint leave for Eid al-Adha for two days so that there will be a long holiday period from Wednesday to Sunday. The government revealed the considerations behind the decision.

Wamenaker Afriansyah Noor explained a number of considerations. Starting from the national school holidays to increasing the economy of the tourism sector.

“The consideration is because of the national school holidays and in the context of improving the MSME economy and tourism as well as quality time with family,” Afriansyah told reporters, Tuesday, (20/6).

The joint leave decision was signed by three ministers, namely Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, MenPAN-RB Abdullah Azwar Anas, and Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah.

In the SKB of the three ministers, it was written that the Eid al-Adha 1444 Hijri holiday falls on Thursday, 29 June 2023. Furthermore, there are two days of joint leave determined by the government, namely on Wednesday, 28 June 2023 and Friday, 30 June 2023.

So, the total holiday during the Eid al-Adha celebration is five days. Residents will also enjoy long weekends, namely Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Bembo
